The guided tour of Myths, legends and witches of Milan is a journey to discover the hidden, mysterious and dark side of Milan. Together, we will uncover the forgotten legends and stories that have shaped the city’s history. Through a journey back in time, we will try to give a voice to characters a little different from the usual, such as witches, ghosts and demons, that will lead us to an almost slightly scary Milan. Together, we will uncover the forgotten stories that have shaped the city’s history, diving deep into local legends and supernatural lore. As you wander through shadowy streets, you will hear tales of Milanese phantoms that haunt the night and feel the eerie presence of spirits linked to centuries-old unsolved crimes. Each stop along the way reveals yet another chilling secret of Milan, from haunted buildings with a dark past to infamous locations tied to tragic fates.
To get into the right mood, we will start our experience just a few blocks away from Duomo, at the Church of San Bernardino alle Ossa, whose ossuary has walls entirely covered in human bones. For sure, one of the most unique churches of Milan. From the Church of San Bernardino alle Ossa, passing through haunted buildings and ancient witches’ sabbaths, we will reach Piazza della Vetra and its famous “bridge of death”, which people passed through before reaching the area where death sentences were carried out.
During our walk through places where legend and history mix, where popular imagination is intertwined with real persecutions, we can’t miss two cult locations, one at via Bagnera (one of the shortest streets in Milan, a perfect location where the first serial killer of Milan lived and committed the crimes) and the second one at Corso di Porta Romana, which was the address of the devil itself.
From witches to ghosts… We will continue the adventure of Milan’s hidden world, where the lines between reality and folklore blur. The legends of Pinacoteca Ambrosiana and Palazzo Carmagnola are both connected with tragic love stories from many years ago, which inspired some of the most famous artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Lord Byron. Our last, but not less important story is a legend connected with Duomo and young Carlina, who tragically passed away on her honeymoon in Milan, but she continues to appear all dressed in black in some photos of couples who got married in Duomo. Not to scare, but to bring the good luck, as the legend suggests…
Whether you are intrigued by the macabre or fascinated by historical mysteries, this tour promises a captivating experience. Step into the shadows and discover the hidden, eerie side of Milan that lingers long after dark.
