We will begin the adventure at Porta Nuova Garibaldi, the heart of Milan’s contemporary architectural renescance. Porta Nuova is a frame, that welcomes you to the city’s ultramodern district with some of the Europe’s most iconic & futuristic skyscrapers, such as Palazzo Lombardia, Unicredit Tower (Italy’s tallest building), and Piazza Gae Aulenti (a hub of creativity surrounded by sleek buildings, art installations and chic cafés). Just a short walk from Piazza Gae Aulenti, you can admire the Bosco Verticale; a complex of two green residential towers, which with over 2000 plants and trees, create a unique urban ecosystem and its one of the best examples of environmental consciousness in the modern architecture.

Just a few steps from the futuristic Porta Nuova district, you will enter one of the coolest areas in Milan, the eclectic Isola district. In Italian, the word “isola” means island and was bestowed on this part of the city because it used to isolated from the rest of the city by a railroad. Today, this former 19th-century sleepy working class district is an area that has transformed completely. Now it’s a vibrant enclave filled with street art and some fascinating buildings. This neighborhood beautifully blinds old Milanese charm with contemporary trends. We will explore the picturesque streets lined with colorful murals, trendy boutiques, and cozy cafés. One of the joys of a visit to Isola is viewing its eclectic street art, principally created by local artists. There are vibrant, imaginative and sometimes surreal pieces. For sure one of the best areas in Milan to enjoy the street art. We will finish our adventure in the heart of the Isola district, at Piazzale Carlo Archinto, which is a great spot from where you can continue the exploring of the Isola district of just enjoy some happy hour and breathe in the magic atmosphere of the area.
